Cat Day Afternoon (2018)

On a sultry summer day, Hyeon-Jeong, a graphic designer, who happens to take charge of her boss's cat gets embarrassed because her air-conditioner doesn't work. She feels uncomfortable with the thought that she will face a service engineer who might almost be male in her one-bedroom apartment all by herself. On the other hand, Myeong-soo, a service engineer, who feels insecure about keeping his job with his low achievements, suffers from extreme tiredness due to too much work. Hyeon-Jeong calls for service, and Myeong-soo calls on her. She can never keep the door open to prevent her cat from escaping. Air-conditioner breakdown, sweltering heat, a woman and a man stuck in a narrow room together, and the one who even finds himself to be allergic to cats. Besides, he is insensitive to other's feelings, while she is oversensitive to them enough to bring herself to feel insecure. Stifling heat, smelly sweat, heavy breath, and threatening gestures. All these things make themselves to exchange scornful looks unexpectedly and express aggressive behavior unconsciously. Misunderstanding and inconveniencing each other lead themselves to uneasiness, insecurity, hatred, and fear.
