Nanna Diary (2017)

This short film is a tribute to the authentic, unconditional and abundant affection and love existing in the relationship between a father and his son. Mellifluous and soul soothing background music is an added flavor to the heart touching film. The film visually very effectively depicts the nuances and subtle shades which are a part of the lives of a father who is paralyzed and his son who is so grateful to his down to earth and dedicated father, that he abandons his education half way through without any qualms and takes up a job to support the family. The story revolves around a paralyzed old man who loses his wife who dies after giving birth to their only son. The man is a poor farmer and struggles to make both ends meet as he incurs losses every year on agriculture. He is so broken that he could not afford to pay his son's convent school fee. The devoted and responsible son works and studies privately (obtains double M.A degree) and becomes a school teacher. The son's wife is a gem of a person and takes care of her father-in law and treats him as her own father. The old man at the end dies very contented and the young couple names their new born son, after him
