So Close, Yet So Far is the story a guy and a girl who have lived in the same apartment building for quite some time, and start their day every morning riding the elevator together - however, they have never actually seen each other, nor have they met before, because they're always on their phones. He's been single for a long time, and keeps on dating terrible women. She's recently been dumped by a pretty douchey guy. To get their groove back, their respective best friends drag them out to a club, dressed so nicely they're pretty much unrecognizable from their day-to-day attire. Both of them have a terrible time, but just as they're each about to leave, they find an unexpected connection that leads the two of them into a one-night-stand that they both seem to potentially want more from. We, as the audience, get to watch the two of them unravel the clues as they have had many opportunities to meet prior to the night at the club. It's a quick-paced romantic comedy, emphasis on the comedy, and poses the question "how would your life change if you looked up from your phone more?"
