Space Ranger (2015)

Colonel Chase Ballard had a bright future, that is until he ended up causing the war that led to the destruction of the entire planet earth and outlying systems. Some years later, and many many bottles of tequila, Chase changed his name to Space Ranger and elected to do the most dangerous job in the universe; planting jump points by virtually launching himself into random spots of space hoping he doesn't land inside a star. We now meet Space Ranger at his lowest point. He's nearly out of booze, taking mercenary jobs as veiled suicide attempts, and is now caught up in a gigantic conspiracy. In this moment of weakness he turns to his only friend Carl.
