Human life through a canine lens. This is not a story to explore man's best friend. It is a story to use that friend in exploring man. Welcome to the world of Dog: a house pet with an absurd, intricate history. First, we meet Dog's friends-a chew toy who acts as the family accountant, turning to numbers to cope with the scalding loss of his longtime lover. We then proceed to learn of Dog's own lost loves-a pup named Sylvia, who dreamed of becoming an architect. She fell for a hulking and rugged tortoise as Dog left her to pursue his own passions. In the end, playing on the dynamic between dogs and people, we find a somber truth. When shared, life blossoms.
