Amarração do Amor (2021)

Directed by Caroline Fioratti, this movie tells the story of Bebel and Lucas, a couple longing for a simple wedding. However, their families' stark cultural and religious differences complicate matters. Lucas' parents, practitioners of Umbanda, a Brazilian spiritist religion, clash with Bebel's traditional Jewish family, each vying to impose their own vision for the ceremony. As tensions rise and comedic situations ensue, "Amor em 50 Tons" explores the challenges of blending diverse backgrounds and finding harmony in the pursuit of love and unity.
