St. Antony

Father of All monks, he was a Coptic Orthodox Christian saint from Egypt, a prominent leader among the Desert Fathers. The journey was never intended for him to take on a normal life, as a young man, Antony (before he became a saint later in life) took the path of extreme resistance in search of the way of the Lord. Filled with seclusion and trials of the heart and mind, he began the monastic life early on in his younger years. This story takes place in the early years of 251 - 356 AD in Egypt. The external and internal battles take on different forms and challenges throughout his isolated life, as St. Antony becomes stronger in his beliefs and the love for worshiping God, this angers the devil himself. A fight till the end as torment and trials of extreme "good vs. evil" takes place and escalates to the highest level of torment, with one finding ultimate triumph in the end. The film will take place in the desert of Californias and the desert of Egypt with emphasis on the story line being authentic and detailed in order to portray the real monastic life of such a great and historical man.
