Beyond Goldenhill (2015)

Robert Adams lost his son in a school shooting almost a year ago and is now driving to the town where his son was born with the sole purpose of killing himself there. On the way, Robert meets a hitchhiker (Trixie) who is going to the same town to ask her estranged father for the money he owed her mom, who died of Lupus only weeks ago. Feeling pity for her, Robert decides to give Trixie a ride. As they both struggle to cope with their grief, it becomes evident that Robert holds a secret that is killing him, and this new friendship might be his last chance to forgive himself.
