Vi er fri! (1945)

World War II has recently ended, and Norway is finally free. Happy people and Norwegian flags are everywhere. Resistance and allied soldiers with flowers in their hands march in the streets. Nazis are arrested, and prisoners at Grini are released. Professor Didrik Arup Seips holds a speech at the University Square after his return from captivity in Germany. Crowned Prince Olav arrives at Honnørbrygga, and is driven up to the Castle of Oslo where he speaks to the jubilant crowd from the balcony.
