Beyond (2013)

Beyond is an allegory, set in afterlife, revolving around John and God's conversation that questions the concepts of death and create an alternate abstraction of life. The metaphorical notion suggests that life is a circle and the only people who exist are God and John. It is intended that the notion of rebirth is depicted to the audience by virtue of the reiterating underwater shots. The film attempts to highlight John's self-realization that he's everyone through montage sequences of individual's personal moments thus emphasizing John's ultimate enlightenment and creating a choice: to be reborn or to stay.
