"Sometimes I think we should separate," Michael confesses to his girlfriend Dina in bed at night. Dina reacts with surprise: actually they have a lot in common. The actress and the surgeon, both in their early 30s, have been together for five years. They understand each other without words, they love each other and don't care for the same things. Nevertheless, Michael has doubts about their future together. Unlike Dina, he does not feel up to starting a family. He suffers from his relationship with his father, who makes high demands on him and seems unapproachable. Dina, on the other hand, tries to distance herself from her extravagant mother Beata. She seems to find her work as an artist more important than her relationship with her daughter. For Michael and Dina it is clear: they do not want to become like their parents. Then Dina becomes pregnant. The birth of the child marks the beginning of a new phase in their relationship. Will they succeed in being good parents? Dina sees herself in a balancing act between career and family. She wants to act again, not just take care of the child. Meanwhile, Michael's old worries resurface. He ponders whether this path in life is the right one for him - the relationship with Dina, parenthood. Dina and Michael hardly have time to talk about it calmly in the midst of the daily hustle and bustle. Their feelings emerge unexpectedly and in partly surreal forms. These moments raise big questions: Do the lovers still have as much in common as before?
