Glorious Mrs. Kim (2019)

"Glorious Mrs. Kim" tells the story of a Korean mother who comes to terms with her son being a drag performing vlogger, by also coming to terms with her own past and desires in life. "Glorious Mrs. Kim" explores the gap between immigrants who often leave their identities behind and hide who they wanted to be in order to adapt to a foreign country, and their children, who as second generations freely pursue what makes them happy. The film also raises the question of how the Internet and its function of community building can be relevant for older immigrants.
