Despite a promising start to his career Marco, now in his late 40s, finds himself working at CGW Media a call centre whose USP is their decision to solely employ jobbing actors. Largely inhabited by overly ambitious and emotional millennials, who in their pursuit of stardom have also found themselves slaving away for below minimum wage, the series follows him as he navigates his way through the workplace and tries to rebuild his life in realisation of the true cost of chasing a dream.
