The film explores themes of family and youth mental health, against a backdrop of 1990's Australian suburbia. After a complete deterioration in their parents' relationship, Samson and Jordan's lives are turned upside down as they're forced to adapt to the unfamiliar routine of moving between their Mum and Dad's new houses. This lack of permanence and structure, and the emotional burden of their parents' separation, tests the bond between Samson and Jordan who must find a way to overcome their individual frustrations to maintain their sense of brotherhood.
