2 Band Radio (2019)

RADIO is a common device in our lives but there was a time when radio used to be a new word for world. The story is set in early 70's in rural village of Kashmir where buying a radio and getting its license was a tedious process and people had never seen a radio. Roopchand, a local shopkeeper was not aware that his luck shall land a radio in his house and he gets it by fluke. This becomes a news in the village, the village head calls him and acquires radio from him against a piece of land. Waseem, another villager has been a rival of Roopchand and he also goes to see the radio in village head's house in the procession but he feels humiliated by Roopchand and that day he promises himself to buy a radio at any cost and show the village that he can have this magical device which only village head has in his house. The story is about struggle of Waseem to get the radio and how things turn into a roller coaster journey of hilarious and satirical incidents creating complications at every step..
