Lucía (played by Magali Solier) and Alberto, her boyfriend, are two low level scammers who steal from easy targets. One of their victims turns out to be a sadistic criminal who kidnaps them. Alberto is abandoned with a group of crack addicts near Lima's Pacific sea wall, but Lucía becomes a sexual servant. Alberto schemes to find Lucía without any support from acquaintances or police. The entanglement poses a moral problem, expressed in Alberto's critical attitudes toward bureaucratic capitalism, "the system wants slaves celebrate slavery." In a similar way, Lucías's kidnapper wants makes enjoy being imprisoned within his opulent home, where he lives with his wife and her daughter. Their secure and relaxed family life is their alibi, which slow becomes comfortable in perverse fashion; simplicity masks their perverse lifestyles. In the meantime, Alberto's efforts start to bear fruit as the police pick up on the situation and follows a lead, one year before the kidnapping. Solier's character, one year into her prison, has learned to adapt and fake her happiness. It is then that her captors abandoned her at a restaurant, without any explanation.
