Pertarongan (1960)

This film tells the story of a just chief named Datuk Gehara (Sharif Dol) who lives peacefully with his wife, Dang Nila (Normadiah) and his two sons, Tamir (Jins Shamsudin) and Sari (Aziz Jaafar). Datuk Gehara's position is contested by many villagers, especially Datuk Teras (S.Kadarisman) with his followers, Datuk Berang (Salleh Kamil) and Datuk Mika (Omar Suwita). They continued to rebel and killed Datuk Gehara. Dang Nila, Tamir and Sari were able to escape to another village. When Tamir and Sari grew up, Dang Nila told them to take revenge on the death of Datuk Gehara and seize back the position of Penghulu. When they were about to carry out their duties, Sari met Molek (Zaiton) and they immediately fell in love. Tamir and Sari do not realize that Molek is the only child of Datuk Teras. Tamir continued to get angry when his younger sister Sari fell in love with Datuk Teras' son. Then, Tamir decided to act himself. He managed to kill Datuk Teras and his men, and went on to kidnap Molek. When Sari found out that her brother kidnapped her lover, she decided to save Molek. Finally, a fight broke out between the two brothers. Tamir was seriously injured and finally admitted defeat. He then told Sari to replace Datuk Teras as Penghulu and marrying Molek.
