Antón Álvarez (C. Tangana)

"In the creative world, for people like me, who have no technique, no training, none of this, it's always a constant feeling that it's a lie, that you don't have a solid background, that you don't deserve to be there. But we have to fight against that. We do deserve it. We've worked a lot and we like it a lot." Producer, singer-songwriter, rapper and director authentically from Madrid. During high school he started freestyling under the pseudonym "Crema", circulating his music among the underground youth of the time. He studied Philosophy at the Complutense University of Madrid, an education that gave him perspective and concept to his artistic creation. Later he changed his name to C. Tangana, and it is through collaborations with artists of the scene and constancy in the construction of his musical profile that he polished his style and identity; partly thanks for being in charge of visual communication from his own production company Little Spain. Beyond his experience in music videos and advertising, Little Spain produced its first film material in 2023. Esta Ambición Desmedida, directed by Cristina Trenas, Rogelio González and Santos Bacana, is the documentary record of his world tour Sin Cantar Ni Afinar and had its premiere at the San Sebastian Festival. Just a year after, Álvarez debuted as a film director with the documentary La Guitarra Flamenca by Yerai Cortés, selected in the New Directors category at the same festival that hosted him previously.
