Born in 2007, in Newport Beach California, Lucy was enthralled by film since she was a child. Growing up with the movie theatre experience, her father, Allan Hunter Jr., would often take her to see movies on the weekends. She grew up watching films that came out prior to the year 2000 as a rule that her father instated in their household. She often would watch reruns of "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" and "Boy Meets World". Lucy had never intended to direct. She had dreams of Broadway from a young age, and focused much of her free time on musical theatre. In 2021, she picked up acting again and temporarily cementing that as her career of choice, before being given the opportunity to write and direct a scene for her acting class, that pushed her into full action in pursuing a film career. She began directing her freshman year of high school with school assigned projects. She currently attends the Orange County School of the Arts for Film and Television. Lucy wrote her first book at nine, "Meet Cassie Elue", which stands at three hundred pages. She began screenwriting at eleven, on the Notes app within the iPhone. Since then, she has written eleven feature films, three pilots, and thirteen short films. Lucy would often confide in online forums for feedback on some of her first scripts. She began shooting "You Should Be Dead" after being assigned a final project in her editing class. Filming that initial day spiraled into the shooting for all of episode one, and eventually the entire show. Episode One, "A Death in Small Town America", took 170 days to film. Lucy continues to pursue directing in 2023.
