Tomy Rotem

Tomy is an Israeli film composer and sound designer. Being the son of an established musician, Tomy has been involved with music and sound as an avid and creative autodidact since his early childhood. Experimenting with various sound interfaces such as Samplers, Digital Audio Workstations, Turntables and other common Musical Instruments since a young age. releasing his first solo effort by the age of 14. (a DIY free-to-download "beat-tape" made in his bedroom). Since then, he has gained reputation and landed production credits as a versatile music producer, working and having in-studio sessions with notable Israeli musicians including Popular hip-hop artist Ravid Plotnik, Singer-Songwriter Dana Berger, Hiphop Veteran Shaanan Streett, and many others. In Addition, Tomy had also released Two Solo Projects (2017,2020) and Two EP's (2018, 2024) through "Kame'a" Label. One of the songs he had released as a solo artist, made his way to the soundtrack of the Israeli-American thriller television Netflix show "Hit & Run" (Episode #7, 2021). Tomy had also established a strong demand as a DJ. playing in venues all over Israel and even performing a DJ set in "The Brickhouse" Club, located in Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa in the Spring of 2019. Tomy also took part in the Jerusalem Film Festival's (JFF2023) prestigious DJ lineup. In the present, Tomy has been focusing on expanding as a film composer and a sound designer for short films, advertisements, and video art, collaborating with up-and-coming video and film producers. Tomy resides in Jerusalem, Israel.
