Born in Utah, a descendant of the Mormon Pioneers, David found his start in computers by programming games on his Apple IIc at the age of 9. Later he attended BYU for one year before losing his full ride scholarship due to spending more time playing pranks than studying. After serving a two year church mission, he returned to formal education for a brief year before giving up the institution entirely to work full time at Microsoft in 1997. He is the CTO of a rapidly-growing multinational SaaS company. In his free time, he enjoys riding bikes, recording music, and spending time with his family. Also, one time, his neighbor had him act as a basketball player in a movie and Gary Coleman ran between his legs.
