Mie Iwatsuki

Mie Iwatsuki is an artist muse, a Japanese model, and curator based in New York. She built her career at Christie's, an established auction house, and an art gallery in SOHO. From 2005 to 2010, she was a model for the acclaimed New York artist Alex Katz, starting her career as an artist's muse and Mie was also photographed by the legendary photographer, Robert Frank for numerous times and appeared in the artist's catalog as well as in an exhibition. In her 2012 exhibition, "Mie: A Portrait by 35 Artists," she collaborated with 35 contemporary artists including both masters, Alex Katz & Robert Frank, the exhibition appeared in Bloomberg News and Art in America. Today she lives and works in both NY & LA as a model and an actress, recent work includes beauty campaigns for Laura Geller Beauty and bare Mineral, a Worldwide Commercial for Loacker as well as Mandarin Oriental New York Campaign in 2023.
