Andrew Hayes Williams is a writer living in San Diego, best known for his satire published in McSweeney's. His novel, In Light of December, was called "a heartfelt read that illuminates an important chapter of American history" by Kirkus Reviews, and his short fiction has been published in the the acclaimed literary journal F(r)iction as well as the Lost Love Anthology (Dragon Soul Press). His first publication, an essay on Nathaniel Hawthorne's "Young Goodman Brown," was featured in the psychology journal PsyArt. As an actor, he's trained at the La Jolla Playhouse and the Groundlings, and he was featured in Puppet High (directed by Andrew Friedman, Michael Naughton, and SNL's Mikey Day) on Funny or Die and Above Average. As of 2023, he's starring in and co-directing Balthazar & Friar John, a feature film he also wrote the screenplay for.
