Sophie Hankes

Sophie Hankes is an American actress known for her genuine and quirky coming-of-age performances. She is based in Los Angeles, California and earned her BFA in Acting for Stage, Screen and New Media from the University of Southern California in 2022. Upon receiving the David Colman Dukes Memorial Award, the judges shared this about Sophie, "Sophie displays exemplary dedication to the craft of acting. Sophie transformed into the character of Ophelia from Hamlet effortlessly and delivered a riveting and compelling monologue from Eve Ensler's Emotional Creature. She displayed a wide range of emotion and expression with maturity and enduring confidence." During the COVID-19 pandemic, she has kept busy by writing and directing short films, teaching herself guitar, and studying the international phonetic alphabet. She is originally from Seattle, Washington. Outside of acting, Sophie enjoys fitness, the outdoors, and writing music.
