Mahmudul Islam

Mahmudul Islam is a Bangladeshi filmmaker, working since 2006. Mahmud directed several television fictions and hundreds of TV Commercials. He made his debut short film in 2006, under the banner of Chabial Uthshab for local TV channel. Chabial Uthshab forever changed the style of storytelling of the Bangladeshi visual medium by bringing realism into it . He also worked as a 2nd Unit Director in Mostofa Sarwar Farooki's feature film 'DOOB-No Bed Of Roses''. And he recently participated in the PLATFORM BUSAN program in Busan International Film Festival 2017. In 2018 Mahmud directed a 12 minute 45 sec short named DHAKA METRO for the first ever Bangladeshi Omnibus feature film "Sincerely Yours, Dhaka". The World Premier of Sincerely Yours, Dhaka WAS held in the A Window of Asian Cinema section of Busan International Film Festival 2018, where the film got huge audience and critic acclamation.
