A native of both Texas and North Carolina, Emma fell in love with film early on. Her first film (if you can even call it that) was an apocalyptic mystery surrounding the loch-ness-like monster that lived in the Neuse River across the street from her house. It featured the promising talents of her little brother, Josh, and their childhood friends. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, the camera and its accompanying tapes were stolen and the search for the lost tapes is ongoing. After completing high school in Austin, Jennifer Emma began studying pre-med at Texas A&M University. It only took a couple years and a semester of Organic Chemistry for her to realize medicine wasn't her true calling. She did some much-needed soul searching and ended up studying film at Wake Forest University (go Deacs!) in Winston-Salem, NC. There, she had the amazing opportunity to work as a production assistant on the feature film Homeless with director Clay Hassler and as an art director on Cagney Gentry's Harvest. She now works in social media at an ad agency in Austin. Wallaroos Aren't Real is her first feature film.
