Owen Garitty

Owen Garitty picked up his first camera-a Pentax film camera when he was ten-years-old. Since then, he's gained more than ten years of professional experience in marketing and production. In 2013, Garitty successfully continued his entrepreneurial journey and established FPW Media- a business built for a fast-paced world. FPW Media strives to create meaningful media content and effective marketing strategies that push past the ever-rising noise of the complex digital world. Before FPW Media, Garitty made a name for himself working as an international sourcing consultant for various startups in the Portland area. His strong attention to detail and drive for success allowed him to excel in his position and earn praise from his clients. On the production side of things, he's an expert in handling different camera and video equipment such as RED Cinema Cameras and DJI drones. Adding to his list of skills, he's mastered multiple photo and video editing software such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Suite, and DaVinci Resolve. Garitty has completed the Reducation course in Los Angeles as well, continuing to attend master classes for cinematography regularly. Garitty's hard work and dedication paid off when FPW Media was recognized for its stunning product campaign in 2017. Their video, I am Apex, proved commercial brand-centric images could have an artistic flare. It earned FPW the prestigious Platinum Award at the 2017 Hermes Creative Awards, as well as the Bronze Award at the 2017 Telly Awards. Garitty often gives keynote talks on marketing to the next generation of customer and decision maker. His inherent understanding of the millennial zeitgeist is unparalleled and has proven to extremely effective for FPW's clients. He's come a long way since his first Pentax camera, but he has no intention of stopping anytime soon. His aspirations for the future are to continue to push the boundaries of production, marketing, and advertising, while at the same time doing what he loves.
