Keeli Sorensen

Keeli Sorensen is the vice president of victim services at RAINN, where she provides strategic and operational leadership to the National Sexual Assault Hotline, the Department of Defense's Safe Helpline, and public and private sector clients. Sorensen has 15 years of experience leading programmatic and policy efforts assisting vulnerable populations. She has a demonstrated history of program management and design, public policy research and analysis, and political advocacy internationally and within the United States. She has a proven history of managing strategic partnerships with government agencies, corporate firms, and human rights organizations to create innovative solutions to end sexual violence and support survivors. Before joining RAINN, Sorensen served as the Director of Programs for Polaris where she guided the organization's efforts to eradicate human trafficking by providing strategic oversight for survivor services, training and technical assistance, and public policy initiatives. Prior to that, she served as the Director of Training and Advocacy for Safe Horizon's Anti-Trafficking Program in New York City, where she developed the program's U.S. policy agenda and managed training and outreach activities. Sorensen has worked internationally with Save the Children UK and Amnesty International's International Secretariat, where she created a pilot project to reintegrate girls associated with armed forces, and conducted leading research on the sexual exploitation of children in post-conflict settings. Sorensen received her undergraduate degree in Political Science from UC Berkeley and her graduate degree in International Policy Studies from the Monterey Institute of International Studies (now known as the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey).
