Silus Ambani started acting in 2007 while in primary school. He juggled between acting and playing football until high school where an injury made him focus more on acting. He was a member of Kakamega High School drama club where he helped the school win several accolades as well as won his personal awards, among them, National best actor's awards. The then school principal, Sir Oliver Minish, introduced him to screen acting through an initiative meant to help the youth nurture their talents, UNICEF NATIONAL YOUTH TALENT ACADEMY. He turned pro in 2014 making an appearance on Mshamba, a comedy TV show airing on KTN. He has then gone ahead to feature and star in several films around the country and appear in several TV shows around the country
