Juefang Zhang specializes in Asian-US co-productions and international productions. She works as the head of Film and TV at EST Studios and oversees both development and distribution departments to support Asian creators. She has closed the deal on Sundance titles MAIKA and EVERY DAY IN KAIMUKI, Tribeca title HIDDEN LETTERS and Busan title BENEATH THE BANYAN TREE. She has co-produced the dramatic comedy film K-POPS! with Anderson .Paak who is set to co-write, direct, and star. She also negotiated separate co-production partnership with Malaysia-based ACE Pictures Entertainment and Taiwan-based Studio76. She has worked with Jackie Chan on THE DIARY. She co-produced the documentary WUHAN WUHAN(2020) with Academy Award-winner Donna Gigliotti and Academy Award nominee Diane Quon, which premiered at HOTDOCs, and was nominated for IDA Best Feature Awards, won the DGA of Canada's Allen King Award and the Best International Feature Award of Doc Edge Film Festival. Her directing work DETOUR was selected for the top 12 for the HFPA Snow Leopard Scholarship, and her feature film, MOLLY BLING BLING, has been selected as an SFFILM Westridge finalist. As a studio executive, she has worked on MALIGNANT by James Wan, MIDWAY by Roland Emmerich and UMMA by Sam Raimi. She also spearheaded the Sundance Institute x Stars Collective Granting Fund to promote BIPOC filmmakers.
