The second of three children, she was born in Mexico City and raised by her parents in Cancun, Quintana Roo and Monterrey, Nuevo León. Her family and herself have dual citizenship given their Spanish descent. Mishelle started learning to speak English from a very young age, which took her to live and study in the United States as a teenager. Mishelle Alvarez found her way into acting when a talent agent met her, and encouraged her to audition for a commercial and has been pursuing her passion since. After starting a bachelor's degree in international tourism and hotel management, Mishelle realized that nothing fulfilled her more than the arts. She began looking for acting training in Canada, which led her to move to Vancouver, British Columbia. After an intensive 2 years training in a conservatory co-op program, Mishelle was signed by her current agent and continues her acting career in her new home, Canada. Some of her credits include "Harsh Head" an independent short-film written, directed and produced by herself, "Looking for Emma" and "The mirror". Mishelle also has experience with motion capture and locomotion given her participation with Circle productions. Even though acting is one of Mishelle's priorities, she actively engages with animal rescue organizations and has adopted 3 dogs and 3 cats herself. Growing up in Mexico she saw a lot of animals in need, which sparked up another passion in her and she has made it her mission to help.
