Shortly after that, Dave and his family moved to Michigan, where his father is originally from. There, he spent his childhood fascinated with Television and film with a large imagination. In 8th grade, Dave took a drama class and immediately fell in love with acting and continued to develop this passion through high school. It was during his Junior year that his best friend took a film class and introduced him to filmmaking. The summer following his Junior Year, in 2011, he and a few friends started a YouTube Channel known as Blue Tiger Media HD and spent the summer making short films and uploading them to YouTube. While serving primarily as an actor at first, Dave later became an editor, writer, director, and sound editor. This is where his passion for filmmaking began. During his service, he was stationed in Kaneohe Bay, Hawai'i and was sent to places such as Okinawa, South Korea, Guam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, The Philippines, and Hong Kong. During his time in the Marines, Dave discovered he had a knack for writing, often sharing what he wrote with members of his platoon to get feedback. He then chose to end his service after four years, in 2016, to pursue a degree in Screenwriting at the New York Film Academy, Los Angeles where he graduated in May of 2019.
