Rose Bonino

Rose was born at Fort Knox, KY and spent her first 10 years as an Army B.R.A.T. at Ft. Knox, Ft. Campbell, KY, and Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, SC. After her parents both retired from the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault!) at Ft. Campbell, she lived on a 200 acre farm in Christian County, KY until summer of 2017. She played soccer from age 4 to 12 (except when mom was deployed) and played goal keeper for many of her teams. At age 9, she discovered Martial Arts. She started Karate at the Academy of Martial Arts in Sumter, SC and earned her green belt before moving away. When she moved back to the farm, she started Tae Kwon Do because there was no Karate nearby. She immediately took to TKD and in 3 years earned her 1st degree Black Belt. Then she was forced to move to Colorado so her parents could escape the humidity of Western KY. Settling in on her new farm in Fruita, CO for 7th grade; Rose was bummed to discover there were no TaeKwonDo studios out here. She did, however, now have time to play Quidditch with the Fruita Middle School Quidditch (Kidditch, officially) team so that was a riot! Then, on a whim, she announced one day she wanted to act....... She started performing in community theater productions running the gamut from Shakespeare to Disney to locally written plays - some of her favorites being her role as Hop Frog in a locally written version of Edgar Allan Poe's life and death; as Chava in Fiddler on the Roof, Jr.; as part of the Soldier ensemble in Les Miserables, Jr.; and as Anna in Disney's Frozen, Jr. She auditioned and was offered a small role in Monomania, a student film from Josh Park at Western Colorado Community College in Grand Junction and truly enjoyed learning the camera aspect of performing from her cast mates and the film crew. She is working on additional student films this spring and is learning more and more with each shoot. She is thankful and excited about this opportunity to be a part of the PaperGirl production and her goal is to help bring Scot Stewart's character to life. Aside from acting, she enjoys kickboxing, snowboarding, mountain biking, skateboarding, and becoming one with her phone whenever her parents aren't looking.
