Rafael Peixoto

Rafael de Freitas Peixoto, known as Rafael Peixoto, is a Brazilian writer, director, and producer. He has a long career in advertising and the live entertainment industry. Rafael has produced or sponsored more than 8,000 artistic presentations that reached over 3,000,000 people in more than two decades of activity. Since 2016, he dedicates himself to the movie industry. Rafael was born and grew up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. His introduction to the entertainment industry came through music: he was a student of the renowned Brazilian musician Antonio Adolfo. His experience as a musician led him to cultural production. Rafael produced operas, ballets, classical concerts, exhibitions, plays, and arts events that spanned from audiences of a few hundred to over 100,000 people. He was a curator at Banco do Brasil Cultural Center, one of the most prestigious institutions in Latin America. He has also worked with branded content, live marketing, and advertising, creating campaigns that impacted thousands of people directly and millions via social networks. In 2016 Rafael decided to pivot his career and dedicate himself to an old passion: writing. He shifted his company towards movie production. In the same year, he was commissioned to write his first feature. In 2017 he sold his first series option. Other assignments and options followed. He is also moving toward the international scene - Rafael is an associate producer in three projects involving Brazilian and American production companies. Rafael is the father of four kids, Henrique, Daniela, Francisco, and Amália, and he is married to Luciana Lopes. He is a terrible sailor and an even worse ultralight pilot, but he is still quite good at his guitar.
