1942-1988 Nolan Davis, author of Six Black Horses. Nolan was originally from Missouri. Facing family issues, Nolan ran away to Ozanam Boys Home of Kansas City. Nolan joined the Navy's journalism school and worked for the Navy Newspaper, the Amphibian. Nolan married and welcomed and son and daughter. Nolan continued college earning a Masters Degree from Stanford University in1968. Nolan worked for Newsweek, The Evening Tribune, Fleet Home Town News Center(Director of media research), SHARC productions, Economic Opportunities Commission of San Diego County, San Diego, CA(Director of Public Relations), KNXT-TV, KABC-TV, and other news stations.
