Luca Arcangeli (born in Rome in 1998) is a director and screenwriter. He also writes screenplays and subjects for feature films. It has been selected twice by the PÖFF SHORTS (©OSCAR Academy Award Qualifying, ©European Film Award Qualifying, ©Bafta Film Award Qualifying) of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (accredited by FIAPF in "Category A" which includes a total of 15 festivals such as Cannes , Berlin, Venice, San Sebastian) with his first short film "The father, the child and the mother" (2019), purchased by the British television channel ShortsTv, and with the second short film "Instructions to create a mannequin" (2020). Both shorts were executive produced by the director and screenwriter Nastro D'Argento Nicola Ragone. His third short: "The Ordinary Life of a Man Who Wanted to Become an Albatros" (2021) was awarded Best Short Film at the Rome University of Fine Arts (RUFA) by CSC professor Marianna Cappi and director, screenwriter and editor Cecilia Pagliarani. In 2022 he directed "Blue", his fourth short, with the collaboration of Cinema Ritrovato, IFA, Cineteca di Bologna, Emilia Romagna Film Commission and the executive production of John Landis (director of Oscar-winning films) who highly praised the film. He has taken part in film juries such as David Giovani of the David Di Donatello, Leoncino d'Oro and the Unicef Award at the Venice Film Festival, the San Sebastian Festival for the Youth Award and the Rome Festival for the Alice nella città Award.
