Marco Berton Scapinello was born in 1993 and grew up in Padova. After high school he moved to Bologna to study cinema, where he got to Accademia Di Belle Arti in Bologna. In 2018, he worked with the Belgian actress Lena Suijkerbuijk (Fien Troch's Home) on his short film "Affogare". Around this time, he also committed himself to the making of "Paternicillina", a feature length documentary focusing on the life of Adolfo Baruffi, a mysterious director of the Italian Neorealism. In 2019, he graduated from the European Film College in Denmark. His main influences and inspirations are works of contemporary European cinema. He is now working on the screenplay for "Mia Madre Non Ha Figli", a feature film set in his hometown of Padova.
