Heidi Joy

Heidi Joy was born on March 31, 1974 in Omaha, Nebraska, to Sally (Shirley), a former Catholic nun and school teacher, and Andrew Hausman, who worked in the insurance industry. She has two older brothers, Jeff and Brian, and one older sister, Jen, and has German ancestry. Her career began when she was asked to sing for a wedding ceremony at the age of 15. She quickly became a local celebrity after studying Opera Performance at the University of Iowa, and releasing her first CD in Omaha in 1999. She has performed at hundreds of events, recorded 5 solo CDs, and was hired to sing for the troops and their families at the US Naval Base on the island of Guam by private invitation of the Rear Admiral. She has sung the National Anthem for the US Olympic Swimming Trials, College World Series, Major League Baseball, Creighton University, the University of Nebraska Lincoln, and Arizona State University. She twice won Omaha Entertainment Awards, and is a twelve-time nominee. In her first major acting role, she starred in F. Thomas Vincent's TV Series Pilot, Gladys & Dee Dee: Secrets (2019).
