Kenia Romero is a Nicaraguan-American actress, born and raised in Miami, FL. She started acting at the age of thirteen and competed in Florida State Thespian Festivals throughout high school, where she earned superior ratings for her performances. The summer before her junior year of high school, she received on-camera training with sitcom director, Mary Lou Belli. The following summer, Kenia was one of three teens in the country to be awarded a full scholarship to study Acting at the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama's Pre-College Program. After graduating high school, she moved to Los Angeles to study Acting at the University of Southern California's School of Dramatic Arts. Soon after she graduated, she landed her first co-star role on Showtime's Hombre pilot, alongside Gael García Bernal and directed by Jonás Cuarón. She speaks fluent Spanish and conversational German.
