Simon Öhlund

Simon Öhlund was born in Malmö, Sweden to Pelle Öhlund and Nina Jemth, both actors and directors. His parents met each other as circus performers while working at the renowned Varité Vaudeville. They later left the circus and began their careers in theatre and film. Simon grew up in the suburbs of Malmö. Already as a young boy, Simon had a love for filmmaking and storytelling, doing short movies in his spare time involving his friends and parents. He began his career working as a freelance photographer at special events such as premieres, carnivals, and financing forums both home and abroad such as France, Germany, and Russia. After graduating in film and media from New Malmö Latin School in 2018 he got a scholarship as the Most honorable film student of the year. Simon later attended Lund University where he studied, the science of film. After that, he went to study film for 2 more years at the People's high school of Skurup. Since graduating Simon has continued to work in all forms of media, including film, television, and photography. He has written and directed a number of short films such as "My dearest Anne" (2020) and "Fallen saints" (2022). Simon also worked with The Financing Forum of Kids Content as a photographer and social media communicator.
