She attended White River High School in Buckley, WA. She double-majored at Western Washington University in History and Theatre, in hopes of combining her love history/culture and art to find a unique way to contribute to entertainment. In her theatre department she contributed in numerous ways: staging managing and assistant stage managing several shows, dramaturgy for faculty mainstage productions of Moliere's "Imaginary Invalid" and Shakespeare's "Henry V," props mistress/designer for "Henry V," and understudying for the roles of Jane and Charlotte in the mainstage show of "Pride and Prejudice." She also acted in several student-written and directed plays.
