Max is a British director, screenwriter and graphic artist based in London and the South-East. Max trained as a director at the Bournemouth Film School; where he developed his skills on a number of productions attached to the BFS and has collaborated on a range of commercials and independent short films. Throughout his time at the BFS, Max has strived to create visually-dynamic cinematic environments, which act as a focal point in his darkly comedic scripts. A Christmas Cracker (2019) and Operation Dough (2018) showcase Mena's blend of deadpan humour and satirical tyranny; from the reigns of an oppressive mega-corp, mass-producing Christmas Crackers to the radicalisation of a wholesome underground milling society. As well as producing strong characters, Max has become adept in directing large ensemble shoots that combine big visuals, omnisciently-animatic camera direction and often a stunt or two.
