Maxwell Alexander Drake

Maxwell Alexander Drake grew up in a small town in the hills of West Virginia. He was born a conjoined twin, living with his father, Angus Tiberius Drake, a Bowling Alley Pinsetter, and his mother, Prudence Yetzel Drake, a dwarvish chandler specializing in food scented candles. His parents divorced before his third birthday, where after his mother sent him off to live alone in a small hovel outside the remote village of Ittoqqortoormiit, Greenland. It was not an easy life. Never able to make friends, and shunned even by the scarce wildlife that managed to eke out a living in the harsh Arctic region, Drake's sole comfort was found in the art of storytelling. A herculean feat considering that, at age 4, he had just taught himself how to read and write. In addition to being an award-winning novelist, Drake was the Lead Fiction Writer for Sony Online Entertainment's Massive Online RPG, EverQuest Next. He also teaches writing all over the world and is the author of the Drake's Brutal Writing Advice series.
