Mariko Tohmi

Mariko Tohmi is a beautiful and sophisticated modern day Asian actress. She was born and raised in the Miyagi prefecture north of Tokyo, Japan on the east coast of Honshu island, with its Pacific coastline, western mountains and beautiful natural parks. Mariko's launched her illustrious acting career when, at just 10 years old, she performed on stage and began a stretch of successful Modeling Projects, TV Show appearances, TV Commercials, and Fashion shows. At just 18 years old, Mariko moved to Tokyo to attend College at Showa Women's University, yet not long after, in 2002, she transferred with great excitement and anticipation to Showa Women's University Boston Campus in America, to focus on studying English Language and American History. After graduation she returned to Tokyo where she continued her acting career, booking roles on TV Commercials and TV Dramas all while she studied acting at the Actor's Clinic, one of Japan's most prestigious and famous acting schools. Given her love for American TV and Cinema,Mariko turned her training over to Stella Adler which led her to performances on Stella Adler produced stage performances in New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo, directed by the renowned Shioya Toshi. Mariko has also enjoys a brilliant career as both a DJ and Radio Host on Nippon Cultural Broadcasting, one of the largest radio stations in all of Tokyo. Mariko speaks fluent Japanese, strong conversational English, and performs Nihon buyo, a traditional Japanese performing art that is a mixture of dance and pantomime.
