María Silvia Esteve

Argentine director and film editor, born in Guatemala, October 1987. She studied and taught Audiovisual Arts at the University of Buenos Aires, and was awarded by the Spanish Association of Authors of Cinematographic Photography AEC, before debuting her career with Silvia. The film had its World Premiere at IDFA, at the First Appearance Competition, received the Coral Award at Habana Film Festival, won the Artistic Vision Award at Docaviv, and was a multi award winner at FIDBA. Selected for The Biennale of Young Art Buenos Aires, the director participated in IDFAcademy, IDFA Summer School, and IDFA Space Project, with her new project in development, Mailin, which won the Metropolitan Fund of Arts. Her fiction short film "Creature" had its World Premiere at The Locarno Film Festival in the Corti d'autore Competition - Pardi di domani, and won the Pardino d'oro Swiss Life for the Best Auteur Short.
