Mike grew up in Detroit, Michigan. He fell in love with video production and photography while taking classes on both in high school. After a long history of extensive music editing and smaller video editing, Mike decided to try making YouTube videos to share his love and passion for fishing as soon as he got his first fishing kayak. He noticed that there were not many videos showing the adventures that a fishing kayak could take you, so he got to work. After a year of a lot of learning and practice, Mike filmed the first episode of Bassquatch Hunter TV in January of 2016. The name "Bassquatch" came from one of Mike's favorite professional anglers on TV and the lucky part of always being able to catch some of the largest fish when out on the water. The Bassquatch is similar to a Sasquatch. It is the elusive fish that you never catch on Camera. Similar to the legend of the Sasquatch. After a year or so on YouTube, Mike quit his 13 year career in promotional marketing and went in full time to make Bassquatch Hunter TV a success and growing platform. The show moved to a streaming service after 2 years and then earned a 2 year cable TV contract with the Pursuit Channel in 2019. The show is a unique look on adventure and proudly shows the truth to the shows motto, "Always take care of the water you touch, the fish you catch and the people you meet".
