Stephen is from Baltimore, MD where he was noted with acclaim for his poetry in High School and publication of a short story. English was always a favorite subject. He has lived in Paris, France, California, Arkansas, Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado, with childhood in Oklahoma. He traveled around Europe and then throughout the United States for ten years, finally attending the University of Arkansas to study English and Creative Writing--a program noted for its quality and staff. Stephen's instructors include the late, John Clellon Holmes, the celebrated author of "Go" and noted chronicler of Kerouac and the "Beat Generation"; William Harrison, novelist and guest director of USC Writing Program known for his screenplays for Rollerball, Legends of the Fall, and The Mountains of the Moon. He also studied under novelist, Heather Miller, and playwrights Kent Brown, and Tom Jones. His course studies included workshops in screenwriting, play writing, fiction, non-fiction and poetry. He has written many, original screenplays, a stage play and two novels. Four of his original stories with screenplays collaborated upon with his ex-wife and writing partner, Catherine Duskin are part of the Initial Slate of Motion Pictures being produced by Golden Artemis Entertainment, Inc. He has also penned an anthology of his science fiction, "Synchronicity Gates", published by Dandelion Books (ISBN #1-893302-38-5) and is an active journalist. His work has appeared in a variety of newspapers and regional publications and an Anthology of Arkansas Poets.
