Being the son of a steel broker and a food technologist, Pete Young struggled to find his lifelong passion until he landed his debut acting role in 1986 as a mouse in Cinderella at the La Habra Depot Theatre. He auditioned and attended the Orange County High School of the Arts as a Musical Theatre student, and was also an active member of the Los Alamitos High School's Show Choir for the second half of his high school tenure. He became inspired by his Show Choir director, Randi Carp, and decided to pursue his education at California State University, Long Beach with a double major in Music Education & Performance (Vocal) with the desire to become a high school choir teacher himself but dropped out to move to Cincinnati. His self-proclaimed favorite role he did on stage was at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa when he appeared as the Beast in the new musical, "Beauty and the Beast". Other theatre credits include being a G.I. Soldier in "Miss Saigon", Isidor Straus in "Titanic" the musical, Teddy Roosevelt and Admiral Peary in "Ragtime" and the voice of Audrey 2 in "Little Shop of Horrors". After a long hiatus, Young's passion for the arts was reignited when a high school friend passed through Cincinnati in a touring cast of "The Secret Garden" at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. Since then, Young can be seen in the season 6 finale of NBC's "Chicago P.D.", Hallmark's Movies & Mysteries "JL Ranch" sequel, "For Love and Land" due to come out in 2020, and as a member of the Capozzi family in the new movie, "Squad", coming to Amazon Prime in July of 2019!
