Anne Johnstonbrown is an actor, filmmaker and podcast host. She has worked as an Adjunct Professor of Theatre Arts at several Southern California universities, including The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles where she taught Acting, Auditioning and the Business of Acting. She is the author of The 10 Commandments of Theater and True to archeType: A Guide to Characterization in Comedy. Over the past 30 years, Anne has enjoyed an illustrious career on the stage. As an Equity actor, she appeared on the famed Kodak Theatre stage (now The Dolby Theatre) as the Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and she has toured the U.S. with other national shows. Anne is a voice actor and an award-winning audiobook producer, but she is best known for her work with the homeless of Los Angeles. Anne proudly devotes much of her energy to producing theatre and film exclusively on the subject of homelessness. Her most recognized works include LYMAN The Musical (a staged production), as well as the award-winning short films, A Place Less Cold, Fortune In Gold and Leaving My Past Behind. Anne also hosts a podcast, The Actors Guide with Anne Johnstonbrown. In her spare time, Anne likes to run marathons and teach kickboxing.
