William 'Rico" de Sierra was a Cuban born singer/dancer active professionally from the early 1940's to the 1950's. He played the role of Manuelito in a production of the Rodgers & Hart show "Too Many Girls" at the St. Louis Municipal Opera in June 1941. He made many nightclub appearances and in 1943 he toured mid-western night spots in a Copacabana Revue, with Connie Russell, Pierce and Roland, Archie Robbins and the Samba Sirens. de Sierra was teamed with Merceditas on this tour. According to the 1951 edition of "Who's Who in Show Business" de Sierra was fluent in Spanish, English, French and Italian; sang on the radio with Xavier Cugat's band and appeared in stock in productions of "Kind Lady," "Idiot's Delight" and "First Lady."
